Lee Dixon

Attorney

Lee’s practice focuses primarily on workers’ compensation, civil litigation, and personal injury law. Throughout his career, Lee has represented clients in state and federal courts, the South Carolina Public Service Commission, the Administrative Law Court, the South Carolina Workers Compensation Commission, and the South Carolina appellate courts.

Lee was born and raised in California. He moved to Columbia, South Carolina, in 1996 to complete his undergraduate studies at the University of South Carolina. Lee graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Policial Science. Prior to beginning law school, Lee worked for many years in the restaurant and hospitality industry, including management of one of Columbia’s premier fine dining restaurants.

Lee graduated magna cum laude from the University of South Carolina School of Law. While in law school, he was a member of the Order of the Wig and Robe and also received the CALI award in Contracts II. Lee earned his Juris Doctorate and was admitted to the practice of law in South Carolina in 2004.

Prior to joining the Marc Brown Law Firm, Lee worked nearly 14 years at a large regional defense firm, representing employers and insurance companies across the state of South Carolina. During this time, Lee represented clients in personal injury matters, insurance coverage disputes, and various other civil disputes. Lee was also the head of the South Carolina Workers Compensation practice group for many years.

After years of insight into how employers and insurance companies handle claims, Lee decided to pursue his new path of representing individuals who have been injured on the job and joined the Marc Brown Law Firm to manage the firm’s expanding workers compensation practice. Lee also handles various types of personal injury claims within the firm and is excited to use his years of experience in dealing with insurance companies to provide assistance to clients in obtaining the benefits they deserve.

Outside of work, Lee stays busy with his two children, one of whom is currently attending Clemson University, and the other is attending a local high school. Lee spends his free time enjoying Gamecock football, traveling, cooking, and enjoying Columbia’s growing food and entertainment scene.
